Our commitment is to discover strategy to approach Somali problems. We can change Somalia through education and we can deliver education through modern technology, and that is

Puntland have no strong system of education as well as enough teacher training institutions at this moment. The intention of the community was to increase the quantity of schools, teachers and students, but quality was missed. Lack of quality teachers is one of the difficulties facing our schooling system. Quality of our education depends on quality of our teachers and improving it is essential. The teacher education has primary objectives, which are to prepare teacher of quality and distinct.

The goals of national education policy are part and have a number of links to the programmes and activities in this faculty of education. Faculty of education is respecting and following guidelines of National goals of education, which are as follows:-

As every body knows, since 1991 the system of education in Somalia was collapsed. In Somalia , parents and teachers began reopening schools in their own resource, because they know the importance of education. Education has the ability to open the minds of people and bring them in contact with the rest of the world. Somalis travel a lot to the world, so their demand of learning is high, but facilities are very limited in Somalia .

Lack of qualified teachers and poor school facilities was the worst problem facing education in Somalia . Teacher training and university level teachers were the dream of the community. Fortunately, East Africa University makes the dream true and opens a faculty of education in Bosaso, which is a tremendously growing city. East Africa University is the one of the universities in Somalia , who fulfilled the educational requirements of the community.

Our common approach is that the focus of education development should to develop a faculty of education who produces qualified teachers and that new skilled teachers will change the system of education and methodology of teaching in Somalia .
