The establishment of the research and development center was in January 2010 at East Africa University , Bossaso - Somalia . The center is mainly focusing on the development and enhancement of the university researches because there are more than one thousand students in this university and considerable number of lecturers and professors; both of them develop researches in a multiple disciplines.Secondly, the center intends leading and managing available resources that could actively contribute finding relevant solutions for the complex Somali community problems that exist in different areas like social, economical, cultural and political.Finally, the center seeks managing and controlling systematically all documents relating and concerning Somali communities' development .

 

 

 

 

1. To lead and improve the quality of the researches done by the university, and develop research policy that assists and guides students' thesis, ensuring the internationally recognized standards.
2. To guide policies and implementation procedures for development of university curriculum with the consultation of the university academic board/deans of faculties, in order to achieve curriculums that can cope with the progress and development in education field.
3. To plan and produce fruitful ideas and open new horizons that likely contribute better alternatives for the Somali community .

 

1. To collect systematically graduation thesis from the different faculties of the university and encourage students to engage with the intellectual production skills that will enable them to sharpen their innate thinking behaviors.
2. To organize scientific and cultural conferences that lead to the enhancement of the general knowledge of the students and the community at large, sowing the seeds of noble Islamic values, culture, equity and justice is crucial.
3. To prepare a manual that guides students to the ways of performing scientific research.
4. To organize yearly a scientific research week that will be presented researches and papers concerning on Somali general issues, and convey a massage for the importance of scientific researches for the nation's development.
5. To issue twice a year a scientific magazine that deals especially with researches and articles concerning on Somali issues
