Faculty of Computer Science was established in 2003 to meet and cover the need of computer science technology in Puntland State and Somalia as whole.
Computer Sciences Faculty is one of the largest faculties in East Africa University (EAU) and provides undergraduate courses. The faculty has full-time (Faculty Members) and part time teachers.

Mission and Vision
The goal of Computer Sciences Faculty is to create for students whose major interest is the general study of computer science rather than the focus on a particular application area.
These programs provide students with a broad education in traditional computer science concepts including algorithms, software engineering, computer architecture, information processing techniques, programming languages, data structures, operating systems, networks, artificial intelligence, and image processing.

Computer Labs
Computer Science Facult has three Computer Labs. these Computer
Labs are equipped with 75 modern computers with LCD Monitors and
projectors for practical sessions
Library
The University Library is core resources of information and books for the University and serves the academic and information needs of all the faculties of the University.
As a collective memory of the University, the job of the library is to retrieve and store recorded knowledge of all kinds with objective of making it available and usable to the University staff and students

Current status of Computer Science Faculty

The faculty is the first of its kind opened in Puntland state of Somalia . Five batches of students graduated from the faculty, and the current number of students is 285 students (243 male and 42 female).
On other hand Number of graduates is 67 students. They work for public and private sectors and international NGOs. Number of lecturers 12 including local lecturers and foreigners.
